In Koi Oto

The firstest and fastest lesson I got in Kyoto was that if you just look ahead of you, you’re going to miss an awful lot.

In fact, most days it seemed that it would be much better to have my head installed sideways.

Here’s one little reason…there was this gate…(to the side)…

Kyoto Gate.

What’s in there?

Ooooh!

What’s in the water?

Koi!

Oh my, that is beautiful.

The moral of this post is: “Keep an eye on the path in front of you, but don’t forget the eyes in the side of your head.”
