The Thriving Puppydog.

Today is Coquina’s “four-week” anniversary of arrival. Small Dog is thriving. In a month she’s gone from five pounds to seven.

She went to the vet the other day. It’s wonderful how a food treat can distract a puppy so much that she doesn’t even seem to notice an injection.

Her muzzle is getting narrower and more defined. Her legs are getting longer.

What color are her eyes?

Her legs are stronger. Here she is after at least a mile or more of tearing around on the beach, still trotting along with good cheer.

  1. The physical changes are amazing to watch. At some point — between three and four months? — my Travvy went from looking like a puppy to looking like a young dog. I don’t know exactly when it happened, and it’s probably different for different kinds of dogs, but if I hadn’t taken so many pictures along the way, I wouldn’t be able to see the transition.
