The Monkeys, Costa Rica 2016, #17

When here we always spend some time watching the whiteface monkeys. Some people call them the “capuchin” monkey, because they supposedly look like capuchin monks.

“Monge Capuchinho”, painted in 1874 by the Brazilian artist, José Ferraz de Almeida, Junior.

I don’t see the resemblance.

But here we are out on the trail, and there they are….

There’s a group of these that lives around Dos Rios.

They cruise around all day, looking for things to eat.

They’re not regular of habit, but if you spend time in the woods, you’ll see them.

Who’s observing who?

Life in the trees.
