The day dawned gray but warm.
After a walk in the woods, it was time to drive to Woods Hole for another ferry trip across the water.
The southwest wind was blowing hard. Rain showers came and went.
The Cloud forms were complicated and constantly changing.
Waves build quickly in Vineyard Sound when the wind is southwest.
Between the rolling of the ship and the buffeting of the gusts, walking on deck required consciously aware effort.
The motion of the ship and the erratic wind intensity made it hard to hold the camera still, which made many of the exposures come out poorly.
But there were enough decent shots to have made worthwhile the walk in the weather.
