If you like birds, Costa Rica is a good place to go.
Here’s a collection of birds seen on the trip.
Bird on a wire. Blue and white swallow. Notiochelidon cyanoleuca.
Fruit is a popular item on bird feeders. Flame-colored tanager. Piranga bidentata.
Hummingbird, briefly resting. Maybe some of you birdlovers out there can ID this one.
Hummingbird, feeding in the flowers. Too many hummingbirds, I don’t know this one, either.
Even the “common” birds seem classy.
And a bird many people make incredible efforts to see at least once in their lives.
We were lucky enough to see a quetzal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resplendent_Quetzal
