Why did the Flatlanders go North?
Well, it’s a nice change of scene.
We stay in a house on a hillside street. A nice young family lives there.
We get to sleep in an attic room with a window that faces East.
From this east window you can see a splendid sunrise.
There are fine pink colors in a sunrise, in those moments that start a newborn day.
And there are fine pink colors in a little newborn baby’s hand, .
The hand is the hand of a brand-new grandson.
The new grandson lives downstairs.
To see this hand is one of the reasons the Flatlanders went North.
We also went to see the big brother to the little baby.
The big brother can walk, and talk, go off on an excursion..
He’s moving right along.
