The old bridge is out.
Take the shackle bolts off the old bridge.
The new one’s on the barge, behind the crane.
One of the fellas I talked to said the bridge probably weighed fifteen or sixteen tons.
Wait a minute, it’s coming over backwards!
Oh, that’s slick, just spin it around.
Slip it into the slip.
There’s still plenty of work left, plenty of fussing a cussing to go, but at this point the heavy lifting is almost done.
As my ferry leaves, we have a view of the work site.
