Seasons Greetings

One of the pleasures of doing something over and over again is being able to see something new in the repetitive.

Different times of year, different weathers, different times of day — all reveal new aspects of the same scene.

Yes, Virginia, there IS variety in the same-old-same-old.

Late yesterday afternoon, the sun shone through low clouds over Vineyard Sound .

And it lit Nobska Lighthouse like a spotlight.

Nobska Lighthouse, decorated for the Christmas season.

In honor of the Christmas season, here is a C. S. Lewis quote, which a friend brought to my attention.

It’s from “Mere Christianity”.

“Imagine yourself as a living house where Christ (or, I would add, Buddha, Allah, and all other names for love as Source)
intends to come and live. When you have reached your own room, be kind to those who have chosen different doors and to those who are still in the hall.”

Seasons Greetings, you all.

    • Coming from you, a compliment about a sentence is an honor. Thank you, O editrix extraordinaire! (
I know that plain old “editor” is probably better usage, but this old alliterate could hardly resist….)
