Not Moving an Inch: Variations on a Theme

It’s said that if you can’t find a photo within a hundred feet of your door, you aren’t looking. As an exercise, the other day I picked up my camera with the intent of taking some interesting photos without even getting off the couch. Without further comment, here are a dozen images from that attempt.

My eye was attracted to the two windows in the door. They seemed to be having some sort of relationship with the books. Books are a window on the world, so it’s not too far-fetched to feel they’re connected.

We start with the “straight” shot.

  1. Very cool. I especially like the one that looks like twin tuning forks. 🙂 “If you can’t find a photo within a hundred feet of your door, you aren’t looking”: yeah! If you can’t find a story within a hundred feet of your door, the same is true — and from where I’m sitting I can see a few too . . .
